One of many things I dislike that people do in presentations, is put up a slide with FAR too much detail and then say “don’t worry about the detail, you’re not supposed to read it”.

This actually says two things: 1) “You don’t need to worry about this content, it’s meaningless” and 2) I am devalued and I don’t have confidence in  my own topic. I don’t believe it and neither should you.”
